Zaeema Ejaz
Zaeema Ejaz is an Associate in the Litigation Department of Musick Peeler’s Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on complex insurance coverage litigation and high-exposure liability matters involving commercial general and excess liability. Ms. Ejaz has represented insurers in coverage disputes involving commercial property losses, construction defects, product liability, and cyber and privacy claims.
Ms. Ejaz represents insurers in state and federal courts through all stages of litigation, from early case assessment and coverage analysis through discovery, dispositive motions, and trial. She has secured summary judgment for insurer clients in complex insurance coverage disputes, including rulings enforcing vandalism coverage provisions and protective safeguards endorsements under commercial property policies.
Prior to joining Musick Peeler, Ms. Ejaz represented global automotive manufacturers in high-exposure product liability and breach of warranty litigation throughout California. Her experience in both insurance coverage and product liability informs her approach to evaluating litigation risk and developing effective litigation strategies.
Ms. Ejaz earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, where she received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Insurance Law. During law school, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Haywood S. Gilliam, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, where she drafted proposed orders and bench memoranda addressing dispositive motions and class action settlements.
