Steven T. Adams

Steven Adams is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. For more than 30 years as a business litigator, Mr. Adams has represented insurance carriers in major coverage disputes, architects and contractors in a wide variety of construction related actions, attorneys in legal malpractice actions and businesses and individuals in property damage and personal injury suits.

In his insurance litigation practice, Mr. Adams represents insurers in complex, multiparty disputes arising under primary and excess policies. These actions have involved coverage claims relative to environmental contamination, product defects, construction and design defects, bodily injury due to chemical exposure and “bad faith” issues arising from such disputes. He has also defended insurance agents and brokers, and has represented insurers as plaintiffs in contribution, indemnity and premium collection actions.

Mr. Adams has appeared before the California state and federal trial and appellate courts, and he has handled litigation in various jurisdictions throughout the country.

Community

During the past 20 years, Mr. Adams has also served in leadership positions in his church that have allowed him to serve youth and families throughout Los Angeles, particularly in our inner city communities. His language (he also speaks Spanish) and legal skills have been important in this effort.
