Steven M. Kraus

Steven Kraus is Of Counsel in the Firm's Los Angeles office and a member of the Real Estate Practice Group. He has a broad real estate transactional practice with more than 35 years of experience representing a diverse clientele of owners, investors, landlords, tenants and other stakeholders in sales and acquisitions, leasing, development, financing, ownership, management and disposition of retail, office, industrial and other commercial properties. Most recently, Mr. Kraus spent 15 years as a senior member of the legal team at one of the nation's largest publicly owned REITs, which specializes in developing and redeveloping shopping centers and mixed-use projects. While there, he focused on anchor transactions, regularly working with the nation's largest retailers, and development transactions, redeveloping and diversifying the company's portfolio. 

Mr. Kraus was involved with all aspects of the company's real estate transactions, including property acquisitions and sales, leasing, development and management. He has extensive experience negotiating purchase and sale agreements, retail, office and other commercial leases, reciprocal easement agreements (REAs), CC&Rs and development agreements.
