Kenneth G. Katel
Kenneth G. Katel is a partner in the Firm's Los Angeles office. He has extensive trial experience in a wide variety of matters, ranging from securities fraud and RICO actions to insurance coverage, products liability and toxic tort cases. While his practice focuses on the defense side of litigation, including serving as lead trial counsel for various insurers in Phase III (medical issues) of the California Coordinated Asbestos Insurance Coverage Case, he has also obtained several multi-million dollar plaintiff's verdicts. Mr. Katel has tried over one hundred twenty five cases.
Community
While attending law school at the University of San Diego, Mr. Katel was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board, the National Moot Court Team and an instructor of Legal Research and Writing.
Mr. Katel was a staff attorney for the Webster Commission, the investigation conducted by former FBI Chief William Webster into the response of the Los Angeles Police Department to the civil unrest following the Rodney King Simi Valley trial.
